Mt. Field

A small series painted after visiting Mt Field National Park in Tasmania. Struck by the stark leafless gums against ominous skies and the pristine, delicate undergrowth, these paintings aimed to reconcile these opposing elements within a softened tonal composition that allowed both the boldness and delicacy of the landscape to exist together without one dominating the other.
